Confession: I have very stained carpets

The rug I'm not allowed to kickOne by one the carpet stains appeared through out my house. I like a clean and tidy house, but my carpets are another story.  As much as I try to keep the floors clean, my kids and dog work against me.

I’ve hired the carpets shampoo’d many times, but the stains only go away for a few months. Then they work their way back. I’m not willing to replace the carpeting until our kids are older and grow out of diapers, juice, mud puddles, and playdoe. For now I use area rugs and move the furniture around as creatively as I can…until the next spill.

I hear ya! We shampoo it 2-3 times a year. We could do it every month, but we’ve got kids….our visitors can either accept it or go home. We’re planning on replacing once everyone’s in college.

I do the same thing…move furniture and rugs all over, trying to hide those big nasty stains. :)

When the kids all move out, then maybe we’ll get new carpet. And a new sofa. You should see that thing! Ohh…

Very smart to move around the area rug and furniture. It’s almost impossible to keep carpets clean with kids. I’m constantly cleaning up milk and such off the carpet. I figure I won’t get new furniture for a long while either. That’s bound to end up messy next.

That is so cool your church gets the good fair trade coffee. I’ve been looking for a new church. I’m coming over! LOL!

mine are horrible too! I finally got a rug under the kids’ table, which saves the carpet, but makes the mess stand out more on the rug, give and take I guess.
