A couple things occurred to me today, while sitting at my computer. I am working on a presentation for later this week, and my thoughts strayed.
First, I have the tremendous opportunity to work from home while sitting in my sunroom. I have my computer positioned in the corner so that I can see North and East of the house. I love watching the squirrels and neighborhood dogs out the windows. I love opening the window and spelling the air. I enjoy being able to see the kids playing on the swings only a few feet away. I guess I have never stopped to consider how blessed I am to have a “corner office with a view”.
Second, I decided I could take a picture and share my office space with you. I also find myself wondering where so many of my mom blogger friends sit and work. I thought it might be fun to share. If not, then I’ve just posted a boring picture of my sunroom.
If you decide to share a picture and write a post about where you work, please come back here and leave a comment and link. I’d love to see. I’m nosy, and not afraid to admit it.
I'm

It looks like you have a great work area! I’m jealous! I work at the kitchen table next to the trash can…
I’ll spare you the pictures!
Totally jealous of your view! lol And your yard and sunroom… but anyway, I work at home as a medical transcriptionist – in our computer/baby room. lol Gotta change that one of these days. No nice view in the summer when I put the AC unit in the window, but I do open the window and see trees when it’s not in the window. I live in an apartment on the second floor.
I like this post! I probably won’t take pictures cuz it’s a MESS but great idea!
I also work in a home office but my chair faces the door with the window behind me. It was suggested to me that I face the door so it mimics business coming in – a feng shui reason, if you will – but I have yet to research that it really works! I would rather be facing a sunny window…..perhaps that will change as I am reorganizing my office this month! Yeah! I will submit a photo as soon as I can figure out how to do it? Help!
Oh, I would definately change things so you can look out your beautiful window! I believe in feng shui. Technically, my back shouldn’t be to the sunroom door, but looking out the windows trumps that (and being able to see what the kids have on the computer from the family room and kitchen is important too.) The rest of the house is fairly feng shui. We had someone help with our home and another help with our office. Since much of our house is Asian inspired anyway, we have the earth, wind, fire elements. hee, hee. The scariest things was the horizontal orange and blue stripes she wanted to paint down our hallway. I am so glad I trusted her, cause it is one of my favorite features in the house. The stripes house our China photo collection from Brian Tice (www.ticephotography.com) who took professional trip and adoption photos in 2004 when we were in China with them adopting. Ok, this is totally rambling. Thanks for posting and I look forward to pictures. You may need to email me and I’ll post it!
